MPP Pension and Compensation Act, 2025

- Removes the cap that limited MPP annual salaries to the 2009 level
- Sets the Government House Leader's salary addition at 19.2 per cent
- Ends membership in the old MPP pension plan for current members, effective 2026
- Makes MPPs members of the Public Service Pension Plan instead, with special vesting rules for the 44th Parliament
- Allows the government to create a new MPP supplemental pension plan by order, with terms set out in a schedule
- Requires Board of Internal Economy consent before benefits or contribution rates in the supplemental plan can change
- Lets MPPs choose how to transfer or use funds from their old pension account, with a statement due by February 1, 2026
