- Creates two new provincial park classes: Urban Class Parks and Adventure Class Parks
- Urban Class Parks aim to improve access to nature-based recreation in or near urban centres

- Classifies Charleston Lake Provincial Park as an adventure class park
- Classifies Uxbridge Urban Provincial Park as an urban class park
- Allows the government to create further park classes and set their objectives by regulation
- Requires adventure class park management plans to maintain existing compatible uses
